Hey everyone! I am super excited to announce that I am once again looking for models to represent next year’s senior class. The application can be found by clicking “info” above, or click here. Applicants from Escanaba, Gladstone, Rapid River, Big Bay, and Bark River high schools will be accepted. All other local schools will be considered. Please read below for the answers to some of the questions you may have. HNP will also be releasing senior session and package information this week – so stay tuned!
What is a Senior Model?
Holly Nicholson Photography will be choosing one current junior from each local school to represent HNP at his or her school. Each model will get TWO free photo shoots in exchange for being my little advertising machines! Their job will be to spread the word about HNP and encourage their friends to look into HNP for unique senior portraits. They’ll earn print credit for each senior they refer to HNP by handing out rep cards and showing off their senior pictures!
What’s in it for me?
Your photos will be plastered all over my Facebook, website, and blog. You’ll be famous!
FREE modeling session in March! I’ve got some really fun themes in mind for the Class of 2012, and I can’t wait to bring those ideas to life with my models!
FREE two hour senior session in June, with unlimited outfits!
FREE professional makeup for your modeling session.
Bragging rights! HNP senior models are my VIPs!
50 rep cards to hand out to other seniors. The rep cards feature your photos and a coupon for your friends that they can use for their HNP photo shoot.
For each senior you refer to HNP, you’ll get $25 to spend on prints and products.
BONUS: The top model (whoever brings in the most seniors for HNP) gets an additional photo shoot with your best friends at the end of your senior year.
If I am chosen, what are the rules of the Modeling Program?
You (and your parents) must sign a model release that allows me to use your photos for advertising and promotions. That means that you must have your parents’ permission to apply for and participate in the program.
This one is a no-brainer, but you must agree to represent and promote only HNP for the duration of your senior year, and you may not be photographed by any other photographer. (Exception: required team sports photos)
If you’re chosen as a model, you’ll be required to pay a deposit of $100 (due before your modeling photo shoot). If you refer four seniors to HNP, that deposit magically turns into a print credit, to be added to the print credit you will earn with each and every referral!
Once you are provided with your Facebook images, you must agree to keep your Facebook profile picture set to one of your HNP images through October 31 of your senior year.
You will be given 50 rep cards featuring your images which you will be asked to hand out to your classmates.
Yep, that’s basically all there is to it! It’s a pretty easy job!
Okay, I want in! How do I apply?
All you have to do is fill out the application online:
I will be accepting models February 5th through February 20th. The chosen models will be notified by March 6th! If you are not chosen as a model, there’s a little bonus involved just for taking the time to fill out the application, so it’s definitely worth your time to apply. There is no obligation just for applying.
What are you looking for when you choose your model representatives?
I’m looking for juniors who truly value my unique style of photography. You’ve got to be excited to represent HNP! My ideal model will be a one of a kind individual whose portraits are an awesome addition to my portfolio. Sure, it helps if you are comfortable in front of the camera and have a great sense of style – but it’s even more important that you are enthusiastic about working for HNP. You’ve got to be outgoing, friendly, honest, and reliable. You don’t have to be model size to be chosen as one of my models, you just have to be comfortable in your own skin! Your main job will be to show off your photos any chance you get – if you can do that, you can be a model!
Choosing models is no easy task for me – I literally want to choose EVERYONE! That’s coming from the same part of my brain that wants to be friends with everyone.
I invest a lot of time and money in my model representatives, so I’m essentially looking for the senior who I think will help me bring in the most new clients. If you are not chosen to represent HNP as a model, please do not take it personally. You are still awesome, and I can guarantee that I still want to be your friend! Thank you SO much for your interest in HNP!
Parents and students, feel free to click “contact me” up there if you have any questions!
